Guide to applying for a new Permanent Account Number (PAN) card via NSDL/UTIITSL.
Apply via NSDL or UTIITSL through an eMitra/CSC or directly online.
If Aadhaar is linked with a mobile number, you can do eKYC and get an e-PAN within hours (no physical documents needed).
For physical submission, fill Form 49A, affix photos, sign, and mail/submit to the processing center.
The physical PAN card is dispatched via Speed Post.
Minors can get a PAN, but it will not have their photo or signature. A parent/guardian must sign the application.
