Labour Card / Shramik Card (श्रमिक कार्ड)

Benefits and application process for the BOCW (Building and Other Construction Workers) Labour Card.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be an unorganized construction worker.
Must have worked at least 90 days as a construction worker in the preceding 12 months.

Aadhaar Card
Jan Aadhaar Card
Bank Passbook
90-Day Work Certificate (issued by a registered contractor, Sarpanch, or Labor Inspector)
Passport size photo

Obtain and verify the 90-day work certificate.

Apply via eMitra on the Labour Department portal (LDMS).

Pay the registration fee and annual contribution.

The Labour Inspector verifies the application.

Once approved, the Shramik Card is issued digitally.

•The Labour Card provides massive benefits including scholarship for children (Nirman Shramik Shiksha Koshal Vikas Yojana), maternity benefits, and housing assistance.

Registered contractors, Gram Sevak, Sarpanch, or authorized union leaders can sign the certificate.
